Well it has extensions, but then of course yes, it's not the only browser to do that. Most importantly, for every gain it has, it fails to actually capitalize on it and never presents it as an "OMG, how have I lived without this?!"-feature to someone who has freshly installed firefox. It just flops around, happily reworking their UI every few years without much rhyme or reason, or at least without much preceivable rhyme or reason. Then rip the old compact mode out.įirefox does neither. Even though the tab bar itself got bigger. It's both easier to use and more space efficient overall. Because your new version is factually superior in all regards, even though only a little bit in each direction. Advertise the shit out of things you do better than others. It takes active dev effort to hide a feature like that. Yes, and the fact that this has to be done this way tells you really all you need to know about why Firefox is falling further and further behind.
